The
Foxall IC casting processing cell is contained in steel safety enclosure
(Acoustic optional), and comprises a compliant Power abrasive cut off machine
and a compliant twin wheel Power Linishing machine. Twin part input trays
provide for casting tree or cut off parts input.
The cut off parts exit the cell on the first pass via a conveyor belt and then can be loaded onto multipart fixtures for secondary cutting and grinding to the required finished standards.
Running systems & feeder parts exit the cell via a second conveyor belt to discharge into designated waste skips.
Picking
the casting tree or parts fixtures from the input trays is a powerful foundry
duty ABB 6 axis robot. The fixture plates are identified by a bar code scan or
key pad entry on the HIM, thus ensuring that the correct program is loaded for
each part.
The attendant has ample time to inspect record and ensure quality during the production cycle. The utilisation of a robot for the cut off & grinding process ensures consistency, accuracy and significantly increasing quality and production rates.
