The Richards mould handling systems enable the foundry to :-

Increase production - The lager number of moulds available for pouring provides for a greater buffer between moulding & pouring, allowing the moulding machine to run at top speed.

Reduce scrap - By achieving consistent accurate weight / jacket positioning, longer weight / jacket dwell time, hot moulds dumped from a low elevation, smooth gentle mould handling, unpoured mould never pushed against other moulds.

Reduce labour - By completely automatic mould loading, weight / jacket handling, mould transfer, dumping, and bottom board return on Greensand lines

Flexibility - Fully integrated with all available moulding machines including cope & drag, and nobake (Air set ) systems. Layout designed to fit existing areas, pouring either at a single point or extended straight line, cooling time variable by selected programming.

Simple - Rugged low maintenance hydraulic drive system has fewer operating parts, all easily accessible without dismantling.
