The Fordath range of shell sand coating plants are extensively used throughout the world for the production of Thermoset resin coated moulding sands in both the "Hot coat" & "Warm coat" systems. The Fordath coating plant is very compact and simple in operation. The photo's show the Fordath 2000 coater which is capable of coating 2000 Kg/Hr of sand.

Plant Configuration

The 2000 Coater consists of

  • Control Panel

  • Batch hopper

  • Sand Heater

  • Resin & additions control

  • Disintegrator

  • Screen

  • Cooler

All these elements are mounted in a skid frame structure
